For gold plated, 14k, 18k, and 24k gold PLATED jewelry:

Follow the steps below to keep your jewelry looking like new and prevent tarnish from forming.

+Preserve your PLATED jewelry items by avoiding contact with water, heavy sweat, cleaning agents, beauty products (lotions, perfumes, etc), and chemicals.

+ Do not use liquid jewelry cleaner.

+After every use, clean your plated jewelry with a cotton ball or a very soft cotton cloth to renew its original shine. Do *not* use a polishing cloth as this will strip away the plating.

+Protect your jewelry by storing your items in the small plastic zip bag provided.

+Use the black anti-tarnish paper that you received with your order. Do not rub the paper on the jewelry, just store with your item in a sealed zip bag.

+Store like items together. Do not store gold plating and silver plating together. The different metals will cause each other to tarnish, fade and/or turn colors. Have different storage places for different colors of metals like gold and rose gold. Store in a dry area.

+With the proper care, your items will stay beautiful!

For 14k and 18k gold FILLED jewelry:

+Gold filled pieces are fine to wear in the shower, ocean, lake, exercising, sitting in a sauna. These pieces will not tarnish or fade.

+Avoid water with chemicals such as chlorinated pools and hot tubs as the chemicals will affect the gold.

+Gold filled pieces do not need to be stored with anti tarnish paper or in sealed containers.

+Only use jewelry cleaners that say they are safe to use with gold FILLED pieces. This is not the same as pure gold.

+Avoid polishing cloths as it may scratch the surface if you polish too roughly.
